Indoor heating, house conditions, and health.

چکیده
Many studies have shown a relation between damp housing and health, however, there has been relatively little research concerned with the eVect of cold homes on health. Recent evidence has suggested that inability to keep a house warm is more strongly associated with health outcomes than is damp housing. This paper aims to assess the relation between housing characteristics and ill health focusing in particular on adequacy of indoor heating.

Indoor Moisture Control of Auckland Houses with Different Ventilation Systems
Auckland has a temperate climate with comfortable warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Auckland house design not only focus on winter thermal performance and indoor thermal condition, but also indoor moisture control, which is closely related to indirect health effects such as dust mites, fungi, etc. Most Auckland houses are designed to use temporary heating for winter indoor thermal comfor...
متن کاملHouse Indoor Thermal and Health Conditions with Different Passive Designs
According to the Auckland climate, building passive design more focus on improving winter indoor thermal and health conditions. Based on field study data of indoor air temperature and relative humidity close to ceiling and floor of an insulated Auckland townhouse with and without a whole home mechanical ventilation system, this study is to analysis variation of indoor microclimate data of an Au...

متن کاملIndoor air quality and ventilation strategies in the use of combustion space heating appliances in housing.
Indoor air quality (IAQ) in the use of combustion appliances is important for adequate evaluation of air pollution health risks. Since people spend most of their time inside buildings, especially the elderly and children, their exposure to indoor air contaminants can increase health problems in the community. Combustion materials emitted from combustion space heating appliances in housing durin...
متن کاملPerformance Study of a Solar Integrated Central Heating System of a Residential Building Using Trnsys- an Hourly Simulation Model (RESEARCH NOTE)
In this investigation, the performance of an existing heating system of a residential building incorporated with an array of solar thermal collectors was studied. For this purpose, transient systems simulation program model was assembled to estimate the hour-by-hour performance of the existing and the system equipped with the solar thermal collectors in terms of the provided space air condition...
